PIC16F87X的35指令可依操作資料類型區分為三類：
1. Byte-oriented instruction (位元組操作指令)
2. Bit-oriented instruction (位元操作指令)
3. Literal and control instruction (常數操作與控制操作指令)
指令碼由操作碼(OP Code)與操作數(Operand)兩部分，OP Code部分對應到指令本身，Operand的部份接在OP Code後面。
